But, that's another post! Today I want to share something special about Chloe.
It was time to open presents....the moment the kids had been waiting for ALL week. Chloe tore into her gift and was immediately sad that it wasn't a toy to play with. I could see the disappointment in her eyes, but I knew that she was not really understanding what a treasure was in that box.
As I began to explain, her eyes lit up and she got so excited! She was delighted and exclaimed that this was the best Christmas present EVER! She ran to give her Grammy a hug to say thank you. (You see, Chloe has told me many times that she wants to have her own bakery when she grows up and she wants me to teach her how to bake. I don't have much to teach her, but I will give her all I have.)
Of course we could not go to bed that night until Chloe had baked a cake for all of us to enjoy. It was so funny because the cake was so tiny. We each got a little sliver of sweet goodness to eat and Chloe was so proud that she had made it almost all by herself.
| Please don't mind Chloe's bangs. She has decied to grow them out and so they are getting in her eyes. |
Tonight she made sugar cookies complete with sprinkles and proudly passed them around the table for our dessert. She loved the fact that she had contributed to the meal. Now both of us are wondering what else can be made in her easy bake oven. Do you have any ideas to share?
Thank you Papa and Grammy for the fantastic Christmas present!

She can come cook for us anytime! :) She's so cute. Great post!
